The XI International Сonference on Philosophy and Culture of the Information Society

On November 17-18, SUAI hosted the XI International International Сonference on Philosophy and Culture of the Information Society. It was held within the framework of the traditional citywide "Days of Philosophy in St. Petersburg — 2023" Scientific and Cultural Forum

While opening the plenary session on November 17, SUAI Rector Yulia Antokhina stressed the importance of research on the information society and students' understanding of the problems arising in the process of its development in the Russian civilization.

The plenary session also included the reports of well–known experts on the problems of modern society — mathematician, sociologist and political experts.

The reports and discussions continued in 8 thematic sections: "Philosophy in the Information Society", "Politics and Geopolitics of the Information Society era", "Current Problems of History and Culture in the Information Society", "Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture in the Information Society", "Science and Russian Philosophy: Man, Information, Space", "Modern Education: Philosophy, Psychology, Pedagogy", "Trends in the Development of Physical Education of University Students in the Conditions of the Formation of an Information Society", "Current State and Prospects for the Development of Student Sports".

On November 18, the discussion of the scientific problems raised in the reports continued within the framework of the round table, which was held in the St. George Hall of the Chesmensky Palace (Gastello str., 15).

By the beginning of the conference, a collection of abstracts of its participants was published. It includes 133 publications by scientists from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

These conferences are directly related to the online journal "Philosophy and Humanities in the Information Society" published at the University (www.fikio.ru ). The Journal celebrated its tenth anniversary on March 25, 2023. Many authors have repeatedly published their works both in conference materials and in the journal.
