November 21

Opening of the CosmoStart 2024 Forum

The grand opening of the IX All-Russian Cosmonautics and Aviation CosmoStart Forum took place on November 21 at the Central Museum of Communications named after A.S.Popov.

The three-day event brought together industry experts, representatives of the aerospace industry, and scientific journalists, as well as university and school students from different regions of Russia.

The Luch geostationary artificial Earth satellite, an exhibit located in the atrium of the A.S.Popov Central Museum of Communications, has become an excellent backdrop for a traditional meeting of all those interested in the aerospace industry. During the nine years of the CosmoStart, the Forum was attended by more than 15,000 young participants from different regions of Russia and the world.

There was a surprise for the Forum participants: a telephone connection with the International Space Station was organized right during the opening. Cosmonaut pilot, Hero of Russia Alexey Ovchinin told that he himself was also a participant in the CosmoStart Forum in 2020 and stressed how important it is to captivate schoolchildren with Space — after all, it is the current younger generation that will have to develop Space technologies.
